- I Have one question Can a Carburated 5.0 be turbo charged I know it can be supercharded but I never heard of it Turbo. And if possible who sells a kit.

yep. one seals the carb housing to allow it to hold boost. not sure on kits.

Check out www.turbomustangs.com there are a lot of guys running exactly what you are talking about.

www.csucarbs.com Here's a link to the carb company I am using for mine, they have the fastest blowthrough set-up's out currently, mid/high 7's @ 180+

I'm hopefully going with a blow-through carb setup using a big Turbo from a 7.3L truck... Of course this is on a 393 stroker....

Well I guess that's a good thing to know. I was thinking about next summer turbo charging my carb'd 5.0 mustang and I never even thought about it not being compatible lol. Good thing I read this

How efficient is this? can it be done with a double carb set-up like a supercharge combo.

I would ask over in the carb turbo forum on www.turbomustangs.com you'll get more response. It is very efficent, but I do not remember seeing a dual carb set-up personally

Yes it can be done and done well.

Twin turbo 351W with a carb. Lots of info and pics.
