my 99 s281 that came with a borla cat-back...i dont know if theres any difference between the cat-back that was on it or a regular 99gt borla cat-back...BUT the cat-back was cut up before the tailpipes and flowmasters were installed, poorly. so, since the borla tailpipes were left on, i bought a borla cat-back from a 98 saleen w/o the tailpipes for $400 & i was TOLD they would be a direct fit...no; tailpipes dont line up. so, if i get a regular borla xr1 cat-back for a 99gt will the tailpipes line up, are they even different??
the borla is on now but w/o tailpipes so its dumps after the axles. it is wayyy too deep for my taste. would an x-pipe change that? what do most of u guys get?
just tossing one last idea around...is there a possibility of getting a flowmaster cat-back and having the tailpipes line up perfectly or would they require modification?
