I’m in the market for a very affordable (cheap as possible) catback system. So far I’ve found the Summit brand catback and the Pypes Violator catback to be the least expensive. Does anyone have any experience with either of these systems? What would they compare to in terms of sound?

All suggestions are appreciated...

How cheap is cheap? If you car is stock, and you plan on keeping the H/C/I stock, I would just go with a Summit budget cat-back. Or you can always just weld in some Flowmaster 2 chamber mufflers. You will get the sound and save even more money. Catbacks don't add too much power anyways. I suggest weld-ins on a budget.

My Notch (previously owned by Darkwriter77) has Pypes Violators. ME LIKE.

My Capri has Flowmasters. The fit is TERRIBLE. As soon as funding permits, I'm putting Violators on my Capri.

Are your Flows 3 chambers?? All my flows have fit great, but 3 chambers usually fit tlike crapolla because they are longer.

My GT has a summit catback, sounds really good but the fit is horrible. I was thinking of getting a Pypes system myself.

My current system is shot - thats why I'm looking for a complete catback. I've done some research on the Pypes system and it looks impressive.

As for performance parts, i plan to keep it bassically stock for the time being... maybe sometime down the raod I'll throw money at it.

I think they're the Delta Flows. They're the real quiet ones. I hate them.

I just pulled my welded flows off and long tubes, and replaced them with bbk long tubes, bbk off road h-pipe, and mac cat back. The car sounds ten times better now. I will never run flows again.

The MAC catbacks are nice. They are all bolt on. F--- welding and clamps that will never come off a year later. I have taken the catback off my notch a few times for different work. Easy as cake!

Decided to go with Flowmaster American Thunder - 2 chamber catback. Got an excellent price on it.

Mac must have changed, or my idea of drone differs from others, but my old Flows vs my old Macs with the car being identicle they sounded close to eachother as far as tone and noise, and both droned. Even my current mufflers have a drone to them as most fox's have from my experience.
