I run an off-road H-pipe on my '89 LX and I was thinking to myself the other day how I've never been caught or even questioned about the loudness or smell of my car... 'til tonight.....
My girlfriend and I went driving around and we ended up at a dark down the road from here house. It was about 9pm but the park had no restrictions about being in there afterdark, so we go in and "walk around a bit"
p) then we get back in my car to leave....
As we're driving out, another car pulls onto the one-lane road and comes towards us. I'm like what tha ***** is this guy doing, then they hit tha lights.... it's a cop... i stopped and immediately shut the engine off, hoping so the cop couldn't smell it. They get out, and it's a she. She comes over and asks what we're doing, yadda yadda, then she walks around to the back and radios my tag in and checks my license. She asks if I have Flowmasters on my car... I say yes. She asks if I an H-pipe on my car... I say yes. So then she says, "so you have no catalytic converters then." And i ask her why she says that and how would she know... and she replies "well, it'd be really stupid to buy one with cats, i would know, i used to have one, three actually" haha then we went off into a conversation all about her cars she used to have and whatnot.
Then she let me off free...
first cool cop i ever met...haha
