Does anyone have a 99+ gt with the cats removed? I've only owned mine a few months and it had an x-pipe and the cats removed when I bought it. What kind of hp gains do you get without running the cats? Ive heard anywhere from 20-40, is that close?

noticed a lot of ppl say they sound bad. not for sure, just seems to be the impression i getI also had a flowmaster catback and a bbk o/r x and mine too sounded horrible between like 2,000-4,500 rpms. Sounded great when the car wasnt under a load though. I also think I lost some torque. However it did run a 13.29 @105.73 with those being the only mods done to the car. I finally decided that the tin can rattle was too much to take and put my stock h-pipe back on last night. Car sounds stock againrustang04 said:why does mine sound so raspy? does any one elses sound like crap?
I have heard that the bbk is what makes it sound like crap so I am probably going to go with an h-pipe this time and probably catted. The car wasnt to loud but it was way to tinny. And we all know that an h-pipe sounds good with flows.streetstang03 said:1) you might have a leak
