I see alot of you guys sayin your stangs with not to manny mods that you are laying rubber in 2nd or 3rd. I still have the stock cat's on my car and it feels under powered. I can burnout in 1st and maby chirp 2nd or blow it sideways if I'm turning a corrner in 2nd. Motor still runs strong but I think it has a little exhaust leak somewhere near the front. Where I live we don't have emissions so should I just take the cat's off or put a off road pipe on will that help.

I'd go with a nice exhaust system if you don't have emmissions. Headers, off road xpipe, and some flow masters. You'll be amazed on how much better it sounds.

I would like it nice and loud but not so loud I will get pulled over all the time when I go to another town. I live in a small town and all the cop's here have nice cars like Mustangs, big 4X4 trucks and Camaros and they are into cars so they would understand what I tell them instead of saying MAKE IT QUIET.

The stock headers are good for around 270 HP, so swapping them would probably be for sound, aesthetics or future upgrades.......

Im curious where you heard this? I know they are extremely restrictive, especially where they curve down into the H. Usually a full exhaust will net you somewhere around 8-12hp, w/ stock heads.

From lookin at dyno pull sheets.

I will also differ in that power can go down with a larger exhaust. But it is necessary for room-to-grow or for acoustic preferences.
