How hard is it to install this part? And does anyone have any idea how much it costs to be painted est.? I have the 06GT performance white.


Also off the subject. My 06 is stock except for axle back exhaust. There is 15,500 miles on my car and I was wondering what oil you recomend? Thanks.

It's not hard to install but you do have to cut the front bumper.

I use Royal Purple 5w20 with a K&N oil filter.

There are some places that offer them pre-painted. I bought the regular CDC chin spoiler pre-painted. Cost more, obviously, but too damn easy to have it arrive and install and not messing with bringing to a shop to get painted, which I would think would be $150-$175.

Not to hard, its really easy with a body saw. I prefer it painted with just textured black paint, because it really gets scratched up being that low on the car. By using the textured paint in the can you can fix these scratches pretty easy. I probably wouldn't charge more than $75.00 to paint it though.

Getting scratch up is true...depending on your ride height. I chose to get mine pre-painted and not lower the car in the front and not had a problem in almost a year. Matching the chin spoiler to the body color is definitely a personal preference...I like it better. The pre-painted cost about $120 more, if I remember.

I dont understand how people would scratch the chin spoiler, if you cared about your car as much as you should, you wouldn't drive in places you think it would scratch..or pull up to curbs etc.

I don't even take my to stores etc. for the fact of door dings, let alone driving across *****ty roads/entrances.

I don't even take my to stores etc. for the fact of door dings, let alone driving across *****ty roads/entrances.

Some people actually have to drive theirs. Road debris, small pebbles, and bugs all cause the front end to get scratched.

No kidding.I drive my car every where. It's essentially my only form of transportation. It's scraped before but you have to just learn how to minimize chances.

Now with the GT500 front, my car sits .5" lower than with the stock GT front and CDC classic chin spoiler I now only have 4.25" of clearance and have scraped it a few times in just the first 5 days. As long as I don't hit it head on I'll be fine
