CDC Gauge Cluster (center of dash)

What a mistake in design. If you use the CDC gauge cluster and plan on installing a boost gauge you may have problems. I did! If your boost gauge has the fitting on the bottom of the gauge for the hose connection the fitting will hit your dash causing the cluster to not seat flush with the dash pad. Considering a new dash pad is not all that expensive to replace, I went ahead and put a hole in the dash so the hose fitting can be below the dash pad level. I plan on leaving the cluster on the car so no big deal. I used Autometer gauges and I don't know if other brands would have the same problem.

The wires go down through the defroster vent opening then under the dash pad. I just made up a clean, tight harness wrapped in tape and pulled it through. I had a guy on another forum tell me that he installed an o-ring on each gauge to space them out a bit so his boost gauge compression fitting would clear the dash pad. He didn't say what brand gauges he was using, but I'm sure the o-ring wouldn't have worked with the Autometer boost gauge. As far as I'm concerned they screwed up designing the thing.

The fit is pretty damn good as long as you have the hole for the compression fitting.
