CDC hood struts

I installed the CDC hood struts today. The directions are very clear and simple to follow. It took me 30 minutes from the time I opened the hood to the time it was shut for good All you need is a 10mm socket and a 2" extension(needed to reach the bolt on the fender). I did this by myself with no problems at all. The kit is very simple and well madeThe hood bracket is made with a slot so that you don't have to remove both bolts from the hood hinge. Just take out the forward most bolt and loosen the other just far enough to slide the bracket in. Then replace the front bolt and tighten both. The only adjustment I had to make to the hood was move the passenger side forward ever so slightly. The other bracket gets put on the fender. you remove the bolt next to the plastic piece below the windshield right in front of the firewall. Place the bracket and reinstall the bolt. The kit looks very good and is very functional. The hood raises about another 5" higher than the factory prop rod allows(very close to the hinges physical limit). It operates very smoothly both opening and closing with no parts hitting eachother.

I wish I had done these much sooner. I had to notch my ram air tray to allow the prop rod to lay flat Me and my not wanting to wait to do certain mods as I order them Tis why I'm going to wait until after I get the new wheels/tires before I consider lowering it.
