I have a 2000 GT with Cobra wheels.
I have 275 40 ZR17 on the rear and 255 40 ZR17 on the front. The profile looks real nice now, but I was thinking of going a little wider if possible.
On the 9" wheel, what is the widest I can go on the rear? Front? I believe I have seen 285's on a Cobra and I thought that looked nice. I saw 305 on an SVT, looked good but was a little too wide.
How will the car handle with 275 on the front and back? Just playing with some thoughts, I need some new sneakers soon.
Second - I wanted to replace the Cobra center cap symbol with the traditional Mustang symbol. However the center cap on the Mustang symbol stuck out too far and would not sit flush as the Cobra symbol does in the center of the rim. Is there a center cap I can go with that will fit in there? The Cobra wheels I have are from the 2000-2001 era Cobra. Being that I have a GT, I do not like the fact that I have the Cobra symbol in there, though I love the look of the Cobra wheel.
