Ok, I've found that the fuse under the hood for my lighter is good. So I tried checking the wires and it looks like the center console has to come out so I can try to see where a couple plugs go. Is there any secrets to getting the console out or is it pretty straight forward?

real straight forward. 4 screws, 2 where it attaches to the dash and 2 in the console box. sometimes a pain to get out with the ebrake i just lifted the brake as far up as possible and slid it out.

you might be able to just take out the cup holder retainer and center console box tray (3 screws under the stoppers) and look in there with a flashlight and see if any of the harnesses are disconnected

I had the tray and cup holder out yesterday. I found two plugs just floating around. One is a three prong I believe and oval in shape. The other is black and square. I couldn't see where they connect to. So that's why I'm pulling out the console.

On a side note, I think the PO was a wannabe stereo installer. There's a couple wires in the trunk for an amp. And then when I was under the dash yesterday I found a white wire sticking out of the carpet. It looks like someone took one of those white general purpose extension cords, cut the ends off, and cut it in half. I tried pulling it out, but it's connected to something. Some people's children. :bang:

Hmm

When I installed my Triax last year, my cigarette lighter stopped working. I wonder if it is a fuse. The other cigarette lighter inside of the center console works.

I know for mine it runs off the same fuse. You might want to double check the plug for the lighter. When I put my Ripper in I found the lighter unplugged by the PO.

Hmmm...I couldn't find out where the problem was under the console. I think I'm going to have to check under the dash. I couldn't get the radio out yesterday so I gave up until I get a shop manual for it. I did find a wire that has power when the key is on and used a jumper to power the power port. Hopefully it'll last the weekend with a phone charger and DVD player.
