I just put a 302 into my I6 1966 Coupe. I was not planning on changing any of the suspension until I did other work on the car. When I go to put the starter in, it hits the center link. Nothing I read said anything about having to change this. I need to get the motor running before I go any further. Can the center link be changed without changing anything else for right now. I really need some help on this from the conversion vets.

I believe the i6 linkage is entirely different than the v8 linkage. Think you'll have to swap the whole setup.
