Center force clutch uneven wear and vibration (pics) help please

Hey guys so I pulled my engine I had a vibration at higher rpm... so I was having a look at the clutch and I belive it's not functioning correctly and maybe staying out of balance... I've attached some photos... is the pressure plate ****? Can it be fixed? There is clearly some uneven wear hereq

No good news from me. Centerforce makes cheap factory replacement clutches. Buy a quality clutch.

Yea not helpful run them for 15 years and never had a issue till now this is a 300hp 5.0 dude spending money doesn't always solve problems and factory clutches worked great for the application I'm looking for a cause

If the input shaft isn't sitting correctly it can cause a vibration and uneven wear. The bellhousing and block surfaces have to be smooth and flat. The run out also should be checked to make sure the input shaft and clutch friction plate are centered correctly.

Also, make sure there was no oil leaking past the flywheel bolts. Oil on a clutch will make it do some weird stuff.

All new no oil leaks... the slight vibration would even come in neutral I'll try and install it again with the proper alignment tool and go again thanks man

What sent you to the clutch for the cause of the vibration?
What rpm did the vibration show up?

4500 plus.. mounts are all new... balancer looks good.. it was more of a theory ... u can feel it above 5000 who knows just seems odd that the were on the clutch springs was not even and the wear on the weights was only on one side

The drive shaft could need u joints and balancing, get it checked while it's out.
Personally I don't see a big issue with that wear, a throw out bearing that does not fit the trans retainer could cause that (side load, cheap bearing or worn retainer on trans)

Wasn't planning on it... it does this is every gear including N drive shaft is good only thing I haven't tried is running it without the belt on

I’ve posted this a few times in “vibration” threads ...... and one of these times I’ll be right.......
maybe...... but my first Foxbody had lost some ball bearings in the fan clutch, and it caused very bad vibration in the entire drivetrain. I even changed the clutch..... still had the vibration. I was stumped for a while. One day I happened to spin the fan as I was working on something, and I saw it wobble. Changed the fan clutch and all was back to smooth as butter!

This happened to a buddy of mine years ago. He brought it over to me and I thought the damn crank was gonna walk out of the block. We did the same thing on accident,spun the fan and there it was.

I couldn’t believe a bad fan clutch could cause such a violent vibration. When it first started, that problem never even crossed my mind, but trust me, I was happy in the end....... after I did the clutch and it was still there, I was thinking real bad things!! Lol

I bought my convertible cheap because of a bad fan. It shook your teeth out of your mouth at higher rpms. Come to find out one of the blades was broken. The guy I bought it from did the head gaskets trying to fix it before he sold it to me. Brand new injectors...everything....but the fan.
