Does anybody have this hood? Any pics? Just want to see how it would look on a car without the Cobra R style kit. Did a search but found nothing.

I have the kaenan version of that hood, which i think is exactly the same. I haven't taken any pics yet but I think It looks good on an otherwise stock looking car. The next time I'm around the car w/ my camera I'll snap some pics. Good luck on your decision, Will

The Cervini's hood is basically a copy of the 03-04 Cobra hood and the Kaenen Heat Extractor is a copy of the Saleen Hood. They look nothing alike besides the heat extractor holes.

Wouldn't the opening dump water all over your engine (and the electrics) or do you guys just drive on sunny days?

I guess nobody has one yet. Only thing stopping me from purchasing one now is the Price tag! I remember seeing this style hood on a foxbody and it looked like ass, hopefully it looks better on an SN95. Guess I'll find out in a few months.

Well I guess they are just a little similar then, lol.As for the vents they open in the gap between the front of the engine and the radiator, so no worry about dumping gallons of water on top of your intake, lol. See ya, Will

I can't wait to get mine on! (Its the saleen style)

There was a guy with a 'vert from NJ I think that has the cervini's hood on his 'vert. You may find it if you do a search, unfortunately I can't remember his name.

Chris95SVT had the harwood hood. It was nice, but the cowl was a little high for my taste. I had all intentions of running the harwood hood until i saw it. I just hope my MPS heat extractor hood has enough clearance for my holley systemax intake.

I have the Saleen heat extractor hood (just like Pauls).

Its been on my car for 6 years. Besides my brakes/cobra r's my hood is the only real que that I have modified my car.

It looks great but the guy who painted it screwed me. He didnt prep the hood and there were (and still are) areas that look like craters or cancer spots. It was painted in the winter, he had a guy hose it off when I was paying him and when the water turned to ice it hid the imperfections. What a dick.

Anyways, from a distance the hood looks great. As far as my taste is concerned, I think its the best aftermarket hood out there. The real Saleen is made of carbon fiber and was selling for something around a thousand dollars.

My hood does flex a little at high speeds (100+). I dont have hood pins yet but when I put the car back on the road they are at the top of the list.

As far as water is concerned, its not much of an issue. See the water pretty much just flows inbetween your fan and front end accessories. You dont get water on your intake or electronics. I'm more concerned with my fenderwell CAI sucking up some water and hyrdolocking my engine. I took my car to college for all 4 years, it sat outside through every type of weather and nothing has affected it (except for the paint).

Paul you should have no problems with the holley fitting. My TFS w/ spacer used to rub the blanket on the stock hood, but with this hood there is plenty of clearence not even close to being an issue. I plan on stepping up to a holley set up in the near future.

I had a 3'' cervini cowl on my old z28. It flexed at 70mph but I never used hood pins.

And I will never use hood pins. I think they look like total ass. That ABC hood looks nice. I may get one. I need a hood badly but I can't decide which one I want.

I don't need a cowl so I'm not really wanting one. May go with the formula style harwood.

after your hood flies up on you one time when your driving, you'll change your mind real quick about the hood pins. Talk about a scary feeling... driving down a backroad at 50-60mph and boom you can't see anymore! I almost **** my pants when it happened to me lol. I wouldn't run an aftermarket hood without them.
