Well i'm almost done with the exterior of my car, all i got left is a saleen wing, saleen lower decal, saleen windshield decal, and the hatch saleen sticker. Does anybody know where to get any of these parts? Is cervinis saleen wing any good?

i prefer the stock gt wing over all others (espically that whale-tale saleen), but it sounds like hes going for a clone, so ill forgive him. from what ive heard, the cervinis 'glass stuff is some of the best, but i have no experience with it (i will say though that my abcexclusive hood is pretty nice)

YES thats the lower decal i'm looking for! Do you know if it has the "S" in the decal? Yes i love the saleen wing. And yes i am going for a saleen look-a-like, i would have originally bought a saleen but i could not find one near me. So i will make due. As for the stock lx wing....it just doesn't flow with the ground effects i think. you gotta get the saleen wing too!

Alright thanks. Cause i like that "S" touch on it. Looks pretty cool. I saw one lower decal on ebay once and it didn't have the "S" in it. Just didn't look the same. And i can pick up the "Saleen" front window decal at Saleen.com along with the rear license plate bracket. And i think i'm gonna buy the rear wing from Cervinis. They have great quality parts and thats where i got my saleen ground effects. Now i just need the rear decklid decal> ANYBODY KNOW WHERE TO GET THAT? i can get the front bumper #'s off ebay for like 10.00 bucks so thats not bad. ANY HELP?

Well the ones without the S logo on them are the earlier 86-88 Saleen lower stripes

I agree, not as good looking. Also, those years say "Saleen Mustang" on the windshield, not "Saleen" like the 89-later years.

Decklid decal used to be available from Saleen, however they seemed to have gotten rid of all their Fox stuff. Ebay may have it. You will also need the "Racecraft Suspension" decals for the fenders. Check Ebay, they may have these as i've seen em pop up from time to time

I was considering making my car a Saleen replica for the longest time. However, an '88 Saleen has the "ugly" lower side stripes and windshield decal, so i would model it after an 89+.

I also choose to number it Saleen #6. If you know Saleens well, you will know they traditionally skip #6 in their numbering sequence. So there are no authntic Saleen # 006's....which is why i will use that number on mine

Cervini's is good quality. I have their Saleen wing and Saleen bumper filler peice on my car. I just need to order the lower GFX kit

I think Saleen wings look great on LX's

Hey man, thanks alot i really appriciate your help. One more question. Does the saleen wing bolt in the factory lx holes? Or do you gotta drill new ones? And for the window banner. I just want a big one that says SALEEN! They have them at Saleen.com and they say they are for 88-98 so that works for me. I just need to find that rear decklid decal that says saleen mustang. Then im set. And i'm also thinking about picking up a set up 99-04 saleen 18x9's for my car too. I already have 18x9 Y2k's on my car and i can pick up the Saleen rims for 485.00 on ebay from the same people i bought my Y2k's from. Not a bad price for polished aluminum rims? Thanks for any help guys.

That's the bad part about making an LX into a Saleen-replica. The hatch is completely incorrect. When Saleen made these cars, Ford shipped them LX's with GT hatchs/wings. Then they simply unbolted the GT wing and bolted the Saleen wing up. They bolt up with no mods to GT's.

If you own an LX, only 2 out of the 11 holes under there will work. You will need to fill the holes, repaint the hatch and then drill new holes. It's a PITA. WHen i took the stock wing off my '88, it was unpainted underneath. I should have just bought a GT hatch and sold my LX hatch but i just had someone fill and paint the hatch for me.

Damn, that sucks. Hm i think i might look for a GT hatch. Can you notice your old holes at all? Or would you not do that to a lx hatch? Thanks

I can't notice the old holes at all. My body guy did one hell of a job. This was also 7 years ago i had it done.

If i had to do it again, i might have just bought a GT hatch. Fortunately i found a good body guy who later told me what a PITA it was.

Okay. Hm well i have a local junkyard that my friend says theres a white 1987 and up GT hatchback there so i might just call them and see if they want to see the hatch. I dont like the idea of drill holes and covering old ones haha. And sounds expensive..

Save the 3rd brakelight from the GT wing you take out. It's the brake-light you will need for the Saleen wing. You'll have to run some wiring up into the wing as well to power it.

So do you just splice it into the exsisting wiring running to the exsisting hatch 3rd brake light then? But the GT and LX hatches are the complete same other then the hole placement?

Yup, i just spliced into the old wiring on the underside of the hatch and ran it up into the wing to the new 3rd brake light. Real easy to do, tough to explain. You'll see it when you do it.

Other than the holes, the hatches are the same. The wiring to the brake light is different, but i beleive there is a connector for it under the hatch or just inside one of the rubber plugs on the underside of the hatch
