Changing 89 Gt Front Moldings To 91 Gt

I am having trouble with my tires rubbing on my 89 GT. Can I change to the 91-93 fender moldings or do I have to swap fenders and front moldings as well? I have 255/40-17 all the way around.

You will have to do a fender swap. FYI I have 255/40/17's and do not rub on my 91

Elarm is correct that changing fenders is the correct way to do it. However, I have heard that it is possible to trim a 79-90 fender to fit a 91-93 fender extension. Depending on the situation it may be worth a shot.

You'd need to change the fenders too.

Not certain, but I beleive the inner fender liners are bigger on the 91+ models as well
