Need to help change a clutch on an 08 4.0 V 6. Anything special to worry about? Is it true that you pull the whole tranny including bell housing down in one unit instead of seperating the trans from the bell housing like a Fox body.

Side note: Why are there so few choices for clutches for this engine?

Wow not much action here compared to the Fox forum. Well we changed the clutch. Pretty straight forward, taking our time only took about 4 hours using jack stands and a floor jack. Got the clutch and flywheel kit from NAPA, nice kit. For future referance, Did not have to pull the exhaust, removed drive shave, shift linkage, connectors, starter and 8 blts holding bellhousing to engine. The top bolts are easier if you have a second set of hands to help from up top. You're supposed to pull the trans and bell housing together, only reason I could figure was to prevent stressing the slave cylinder/throw out bearing.
We did remove 2 of the O2 sensors to prevent damaging them while wrestling the trans in and out. Now we have a check engine light on possibly because of it, any one have any ideas what would cause a check engine light after a clutch change?

If you attempt this be careful with the wire harness. We pinched some wires between the bell housing and block which caused the check engine light.
Hope someone find this post useful
