Is it possible to change the color of the cluster lighting? I have two Autometer Cobalt gauges because I like the blue but it looks odd with the green. Wondering if anyone knows if its possible to change the color of the stock green to blue. I havent pulled the cluster out of a SN95 so Im not even sure of how theyre lit but Im sure one of you have. I thought of the whole gauge overlay for the blue at night but Im not so sure I want the white face gauges. I like how the Cobalts match the stock setup during the day.

you're in luck. i'm workin on this right now and i think i've read all the threads about it on here.
-I am in the middle of the process and takin notes for a write up but it will prob take me a week to get it on here.

-what i do know... overlay is black on fron and white on back. black part where you see the writing portion is transparent. painted on backside of transparent and white is either the red or blueish you see. then that is overlayed on a ~1/8in thick piece of plastic that's supposed to disperse the light.
-the blue is actually a nice blue but the trans. part seems to make it greenish with the type of bulb thats in cluster.
-it deff does light up bright blue if you put a bright led light behind it. ...one guy found some bulbs to plug in that were NON DIRECTIONAL led bulb... i think they were supposed to plug right into the normal spot only on the bulb part it was like 7 super bright leds... i pm'd him and he said it worked great.
-and i think i have the link to where he got the bulbs still somewhere if you cant' find some that work... let me know... try ebay

hope this wasn't too long and that you can follow...

Havent bought the bulbs yet but I had the cluster out while work was slow today and confirmed what has already been said. The paint on the back is actually blue and what turns it green is the "yellow" light from the stock bulbs. I put my LED pen light up to the back and it was a pretty decent blue. Not quite as blue as the Cobalt gauges but still better than green. So I think Im going to order a couple different LEDs, some white, some blue, some single LED, some multiple LED and then put it together and see how it looks. Wanna try to match it up as close as possible. By then Ill probably even get off my butt and buy batteries for the camera to take pics. And thanks for the link Sublime, they have exactly what I was looking for.

I have Autometer Cobalt gauges already which look exactly like the stock gauges during the day and the text shows up blue at night. Im just doing the cluster gauges. Nice to see a pic of what it looks like though.
