I just did mine yesterday also. You need to use a box ended wrench. I would suggest a ractheting set, (Yeah another reason for more tools). Take a rubber mallet and tap it until it comes out.
I broke a bolt on the caliper also.
Just make sure to get the rotors turned so that there is no squeaks and everything.
i had to replace the pads in my car this past fall, and what i did is took a ratchet and put a hyraullic jack under the handle to get them loose, thank god craftsmen replaces broken tools for free , but the bolts for my calipers and such were rusted in there like you wouldnt beleive, but take a ratchet and put a jack under it and they should come loose...
