Can you believe it took me this long to FINALLY get to this project. First of all, screw that little bolt at the top that holds the canister in place. I dropped the whole bracket and canister out in one piece by removing the two bolts underneath the car. Much easier. But before I did that, I had to remove the two lines connected to the canister. The larger of the two with the elbow came off easily. The smaller one was a different story. I pulled and pulled and then pulled some more. Nothing. So I cut it as close to the tank as possible. Dropped the bracket and canister. Once out of the way I was able to access the valve. The electrical plug came right out, but both lines going into and out of the top of the valve were also stuck to the point they had to be cut. Once the new valve was installed and both hoses hooked back up, I installed the new tank onto the bracket, swapped over the dust caps, and reinstalled the whole thing. I didn't snug the bolts because I had a feeling that even though I cut just a little bit here and a little bit there to free all the old parts and pieces, that it was gonna be just enough to screw me and not be long enough now to reinstall. I was right. Factory gives you nothing extra, even back in 1987. Lol. Anyway, no biggie. Just gonna pick up a couple of inches of each sized hose and a couple of T fittings, and should be fine. Existing hoses are all in good shape so I'm not sweating it. While I was under there I drained the fluid in my Vortech V3, and put some new stuff in. It was due. Anyway, hope to have this wrapped up so I can take her out for a blast this weekend. Weather looks good. We shall see.
