I am the new owner of a GT hood scoop from a totaled 2003 GT. The car was rolled, and some damage was passed on to the hood scoop. It is scratched pretty bad, with a few deep scratches. It's nothing that a good sand job won't take care of, but painting the mofo is going to be tough since I live in an apartment. I am looking for someone that may know someone that does quality painting at a cheap rate. I am not looking for anything difficult, just a matte or satin black paint job on the scoop that will withstand the weather elements of the PacNW.
Does anyone know some good methods for removing deep scratches out of urethane? I am wanting to sand the scoop down myself to save someone of any extra prep work to paint the scoop. I may just end up painting it myself but I would have to do it inside my apartment and don't want to risk ruining some of my stuff with overspray.
