Not sure if you all remember my last post but my intake got stolen so I'm going to get the GT40 head and while I'm at it going to get a pair of AFR heads, I've heard so many good thing about them that I HAVE TO get them. I think I need the 165's right??? Where is the cheapest place to order from??? Help ASAP, I need to get car running before school starts so I can drive TO school....Thanks, :spot:

Do yourself a favor and get the Edelbrock Performer intake or if you have major mods planned down the road get the RPM II. The GT-40 is old school and very limited as you do more mods, not worth the money they charge.

I agree give Brian a shout, you'll also need some rockers and I go with a good 1 piece Chromemoly pushrod.

nah, but I want something new. Any good site that have fair prices with cheap or free shipping??

I got my Performer from Summit for $495 and shipping is just a few bucks and it flows a bit better than the GT40 intake...

I got my AFR's from Ed...you want the 165's...mine cost more because I got the upgraded studs, springs, and viton seal upgrade...

Good Luck,

David

The AFR is one of the better heads currently available, the power the produce speak for themselves. I know you posted because you got your Pro Toplines and you are very happy with them. I hear they may have gotten out of the bank trouble and may be back in business shortly but it is all just speculation. There still isn't a huge amount of users with the Pro Toplines to get really good feedback as far as wear over time, the AFR's have been proven, time and time again, along with many others.

Try Brian @ www.adperformance.com I know he has a shipment of AFR185's due in a week or two, not sure if the 165's have arrived yet or not. $1285 shipped for AFR165 or 185's
