Check Engine Light?

I forgot to mention that getting on the freeway yesterday i redlined or maybe even hit the limiter a bit in third gear then shifted into 4th, the check engine light came on for about 30 seconds or less then turned off. Is there something wrong? I would check the codes but i have no time, i just wanted to know if this sounds like something serious? (The car drives fine from what i can tell)

Find time to check those codes. I could be nothing but hitting the rev limiter is never good. I think of what probably happened is when you hit the limiter the car ran lean for a few seconds and the O2's picked up on that and through a code. Just a guess tho
