Check out my progress, pics

hey guys i started the custom door panel thread last week about the 05 sill plates and putting them on the door panels, well i dont have pics of them yet, cuz im still waiting for them.im actuall getting worried cuz i paid for 2-3 shipping, but thats another storey.I just wanted to post some pictures of the parts that i have painted and see what u guys thought, pictures arent great but they work. I used vinyl and carpet spray paint from pepboys, its made by dupont, and i used that on everything with lots of layers and it came out perfect, my buddy just bought the new door panels from 50 resto and they look as good as his.So now i have the headliner, the carpets front and back, the sun visors, the stuff in the pictues all redone, the only thing left is the dash pad and the hatch and back seat panels to paint. also im gonna get black leather seats out a newer mustang, for the front and im not sure about the back seats yet, maybe get them covered in leather or vinyl. well herer ya go. Oh yeah these door panels were maroon or red whatever u want to call them, before i started, everything else i gray.

thanks guys

i will definately keep u posted and post some more pics of the door panels once i get those damn sill plates,I just emailed him so we will see what he says, but i doubt i will put them in my car anytime soon, as it is a work in progress im afraid that getting in and out and putting parts and s h i t i hte back seat that i wil start hitting and scratching the paint, maybe im just anal, but im afraid to ruin it.And i cant put my headliner in until i get this damn hatch adjusted correctly so we will c what happens. Im prolly gonna be busy working on the 85 i posted about a couple days ago. putting new engine in it.But with the money i get from doing this i will get back into my car. I will be buying some heads with the money, either the gt40ps from tristate or a set of edelbrocks from a frriend, i want the edelbrocks but he cant make up his mind whether he wants to sell them or not. So i am in no rush im taking my time doing everything right..but the sooner i get the heads the sooner i get the engine on the stand and start boogying.then its just a mass air harness and computer and valvebody and torque converter:D away from being finished. oh and those black leather seats and the ............. man it just never ends does it.:SNSign:

I had to read back in your post to see what it was that you meant by "sill plates", as I have a pair of black scuff plates for the door sills. I replaced them with a polished stainless piece. Looks like you may be a bit too far away though. LOL.
