That's all i've come up with so far. It's going to be pretty expensive, but my main concern is powering it all. My car has trouble powering just the 8inchers so I figure this will probably be impossible. I already have a optima battery, what alternator should I upgrade too? Also what should I look into for reasons why my car has charging problems (any tips or tricks/common things). My dad's 5.0 charges much better than mine.
Also can anyone rec. a good speaker/amp setup for the front 6 speakers?

I can't wait to finish this project. Give me your opinions.:nice:

I would first get a larger alternator 180-200+ then run new wire from the alt. to the post to make sure you sytem is running at 100%. I wouldn't go with any caps there a a waste of money if your not doing SPL drags..

sounds like a good system, make sure you have a good batt and you'll be fine

SPL is competition basically. SQL is what the average Joe listens to bumpin down the street. Capacitation is a 50/50 subject imo, some people swear by it, others at it. I have a 1.5 farad cap with my 2 MTX 9500 and 2 MTX amps, but I still have dimming (keep in my mind this is in a Saturn... don't laugh... it's goin in the Stang sometime in the future). The best way is to get an upgraded alternator and run 4 gauge (to your alt, use your judgement for size of power wire for your system). I say, get 1 cap, even an Optima (I have a yellow top) isn't designed to release current as quickly as a cap is, and I feel 1 is a good investment.

I was wondering, how are you going to get that head unit in there? What kind year/type mustang do you have? I have an 89 vert, and the head unit is recessed so far i dont really see how the screen could open up! Also the crutchfield site said modified installation on my vehicle. Dont really care for that either... Just wondering man, be happy to hear what your going to do, good luck

for charging do what is known as the "big 3" heres a walkthrough of an 02 stang but its real simple anyways....this is only a start though, new alt. will be needed almost def.
