Ford produced 1000 1994 Cobra convertibles, all of them Indy Pace Car replicas. Jack Roush designed them and Parnelli Jones drove the pace car around the Indianapolis speedway. All replicas were painted in striking Rio Red and had tan leather interiors with the Indy Speedway "wings" embossed on the headrests of the front seats. A styling bar was added to house the flashing light unit. The replica rims were the same style as the rest of the Cobras, but had the recessed portions painted charcoal. Replicas were delivered to the dealerships with the "OFFICIAL PACE CAR" lettering and Indy "wings" decals boxed in the trunk. These could be left off, or installed at the dealership for the new owners. All of the cars used at the race were automatics; all of the replicas were manuals. I saw one of them in a Ford dealership showroom back in '94. Never liked that bodystyle so I could'nt have cared less about them. If I remember right they were stickered at $25K, but they had people bidding $10K over the sticker. Rediculous.

Nasty wood dash and offroad tires. Send it back to mexico. And red with tan is the ugliest color combination. I used to have a red and tan 98 and hated it. I blew the head gasket, put some ceramic sealer in it, sold it to an x-girlfriend that cheated on me, and it blew up on her like 6 months later. :D
