The other day I saw a local Chevy dealer had a 95 Mustang Cobra convertable out in front sitting next to a new Vette. The Cobra was tripple black. It said $10,000 across the front of it. So tomorrow I am going to check it out in the morning. I doubt I will even think of trading my car for it but I figure $10,000 isnt back for a 5.0 Cobra that looked to be in good shape but im not into the drop top thing too much. I will let you guys know how it is. If anyone is interested in a 5.0 Cobra it is Locatedin Antioch Illinois

10k seems like ALOT imo. My friend got his 97 for $9,900 and it only had 47k miles and was garage almost its entire life, and another guy I know got his 95 cobra for $5800 and its also an above average car.

O I paid $5500 for my GT but it had probably about 3k extra in mods so Idk I thought I got a pretty sick deal but who knows I figure they are looking to deal before winter especially since it is a convertable

All depending, the 94-95 cobra's can bring a pretty penny for the right car to the right person

yeah, that sounds like a SUPER high price.... i about bought a 1999 cobra, PERFECT condition, even the engine bay spotless, 70K miles, for 11,500 from a dealer.... (only reason i didnt was cause when i got back from the test drive, another dealer came up and was like (to the other dealer) "you do realize i sold that car this morning, right?" blegh)

personally i hate verts! but i would go and check out how many cobra verts thay made that year.10 grand is NOT overly high these days for a 5.0 cobra. but the fact that its a vert could may make it worth your time. check the production numbers, it mite be a "rare" piece!

I would seriously consider that car, look around for how much they're going for and then make your decision. To me, a triple black 5.0 cobra =

They are really nice cars, rare (specially a 'vert 94/95 Cobra IMO), and hold their value. But 10k is a little high unless its got under 40k miles and it is literally spotless.

I wouldnt pay 10k for one... id pay 6-7 or possibly 8 if it was in top shape with low mileage and I really liked the car.

Well when I got up close I saw they wanted 14K for it. It looked to be mostly stock except the shifter and I think the spoiler and some stupid door looks. It was in pretty good shape except the drivers seat wasnt looking to great and it had 57k miles on it. The interior was tan not black. But long story short they had a 04 Blue GT with 33k miles on it. They wanted 19k for it. It was loaded. I think it had the Mach 1000 stereo. I test drove it and it seemed very slow to me Maybe because I have mods done to mine, and they did let me open her up and that surprised me. But we did some paper work and they were willing to give me 5k for my car if I put a 2k down payment. But I just couldnt do it. The only reason I thought about it was because it was in good shape and came with a warranty. It also has traction control so I could haver also got rid of my truck and dorve that all year long. They were mad when I told them I couldnt do it. Mine would easily put a few cars on tha in the 1/4. He said there is no way mine is faster than that 04 he was like it has more power and less miles. I tried to explain to him mine has almost the same amount of power but also has gears and clutch and a few other things. The idiot kept on saying all Mustangs had a 6spd I was trying to hold myself from smacking him. He was like yeah insurance shouldnt change too much there both 6spd Mustang GT's he also said the Cobra was 6spd. Overall I think what did it for me was when I heard my car come around the corner when the guy test drove it to see how much he could give me and that got me, I cant have a quiete car. The funny thing was the guy got out and asked me if I had a different transmission in it, because it seems really short I was like no just a short throw shifter. So when I left I had to make sure for my self that mine was faster so I ripped it threw the gears when I left the parking lot.

Sorry for the long post, they made me pretty mad when they insulted my car.

19k for that 04 isn't really a special deal, so don't worry bout passing that up. And even with traction control, might as well keep that truck cuz you wouldn't want to use the trac control in the winter anyways.

Dont feel bad, I had a salesperson that claimed to have worked for Ford for over 5 years tell me that Mustang GT's had "a really big 6 cylinder", and that a 98 GT with 75k was worth "about 13 grand".
