When I wind it up to almost redline and shift hard and quickly...I hear a squeal from the engine, just like a fanbelt squeal. Not a long squeal, just a short quick slip. Let me know what you guys think this might be. Thanks:SNSign:

Belt dressing is only for v-belts. It is absolutely NOT for the serpentine type belt on Mustangs. It says this right on the can...

When the belt starts slipping it is time to get a new Gator belt, that is the bottom line.

Goodyear's website has a dealer locater feature. The belts are available at most auto parts stores.

Is the squeel before you push the clutch in? Just a high RPM squeel? I only ask because you mention shifting.

I'd do the belt if it is just a high RPM squeel, but I'd look at your TOB if its only when you push the clutch in at high RPM

Police Crown Vics do it. As its shifting it will give off a high pitch screetch from under the hood. CV's do it because their pulley system is overdriven.
It has to do with accesory speed and crank shaft speed. When the rpm's go down during a WOT shift the accesories still have all that momentum and the belt slips a little.

hey, just so you know bro, Gatorbacks SUCK for the cobras....too much damn belt dust.....you better off with a regular old Gates belt.

I think it is either the belt or the throw out bearing. It happens right when I engage the next gear. It sounds just like a fan belt slipping and that is where the sound is coming from
