so my order from Camshaft Innovations came today, check the pics out and check my sig for what everything is :D i'm just waiting on the lifters and the TFS Track Heat intake manifold, and a full gasket set and I'm good to go (a week off from work to do the swap would be nice too, but you can't always get what you want  )

I like.:nice:

btw: Stand your heads up on end, they're more prone to warping sitting the way they are in the pics.

thanks for the tip! will do

also, is there a comprehensive list of tools and parts needed for the swap? i.e. cam lube, RTV sealer and what colors, anti-seize, etc., i'd like a complete checklist to take to the 'zone when i start the swap

i'm good on parts, i just know so many little tiny things will have me running back and forth to auto parts stores, i'd appreciate experienced guys saving me some headaches :nice: or maybe you guys want to make me learn the hard way haha

I used the grey sealant, you need thread sealant for the front head bolts (exhaust side) because they go into a water jacket, I used assembly lube on my cam and timing chain. Like 30240 said, I would use anti seeze on anything bolting to those aluminum heads, but not on the headbolts.

whats the cam specs?

the cam card jay sent me looks like japanese instructions for a time machine to my eyes, but some of the numbers are

Lobe lift= intake 0.35305" exhaust 0.35312"
Duration at .006= intake 264.59 exhaust 278.33
Duration at .020= intake 241.38 exhaust 253.02
Duration at .050= intake 214.63 exhaust 225.34
Duration at .200= intake 139.53 exhaust 147.24

Gross Lift= intake .565" exhaust=.565"

Redline 6800 RPM :nice:

That looks like fun. bring it over and you can use my garrage and tools. just take me for a spin :p

dude that would actually be amazing considering i dont have an engine hoist or even a torque wrench for that matter, how far is it from Texas to long island, NY?? an hour drive? :nonono:

oh yeah. thats what im talking about. some quality bonding with your car. you should just buy the tools for future use. You know, just in case :nice:. always comes in handy. but yeah, thats gonna be a nice job, me and my brother and a friend and his dad did all that work including exhaust on his '71. what a way to spend a spring break!!! Youre in for quite a job. It'll be fun doing it with a couple of friends.

just thought you guys would enjoy some pics :D
