I am trying to find a picture of an aero with the stock 98 GT wheels in chrome (same wheels as on the pic below only in chrome). My wife told me I should have mine chrome plated, but I dont think it will look as good as the machined factory look. I've searched the internet and have been unsuccessful in finding any pics and I know I have seen it before. Please post any pics you can find with these chrome wheels on a Mustang. Thanks much

those look better than the chrome ones. how much would you pay to have them chrome plated? might as well just buy a new set of rims all together.

I don't have any with those particular wheels in chrome, but here is a link to my car with chrome Cobra R's, which aren't too terribly different from the stockers, just to give you an idea.

Totally agree. I really like the machined look. I have actually seen the chrome version of my wheels and I don't really care for them. I am trying to show my wife that these wheels in chrome don't look as good as the factory ones and I think the only way to do it is by showing her a picture of a mustang with them.

To make a long story short, I was talking to her about having my wheels refinished because they are starting to peel in places and each of them has kissed a curb or two. She said I should have them chrome plated cause she likes things "shiny".. haha. I know I could buy some aftermarket wheels, but I really like the look of the stockers.

I found some listed on e-bay, but they dont show them installed on a mustang click here

Nice looking stang sneaky98gt, those Cobra R's look good next to the silver.

I agree with cerhard, by the time you pay to get them chromed, you might as well look at another set of rims and upgrade from the 17x8" to atleast 17x9 and get more rubber underneath you.
Here is one of the only pics I have of these taken at Carlisle a few years back.
IMO, the 98 year (the ones you have) has the best finish for these rims.

Perfect, that's what I was looking for and again I am convinced that chrome does not look good on those wheels.

Thanks!
