Do they make them for our cars, and if so, who has them?

Ive seen/heard of them for the Foxes, but not for our cars.

Thanks

I looked everywhere for one. I couldn't find one. I just order a new Ford racing unit from summit. Only 50 bucks too. I hear it flows more than factory, but I doubt it. I am just gonna spray it satin black or something to make it look decent.

I dropped off a lot of parts at the polisher here to get chromed, and he would not touch the water pump with chrome. He did say he would polish it, but it would be tough to maintain the shine. I decided to go black with the pump, and chrome all the pulleys I can't get in a polished finish.

Hope you find what you are after.

I see you figured it out. I just took a tour of the entire Edelbrock facility 2 weekends ago. They showed us how they made everything, and that was my question when we got to the waterpump machines. They have a really cool new chrome like coating that they say will not fade or discolor.

The guy said they have no plans to make a pump for our cars. WHY? WHY? WHY?WHY?

I was kinda upset. Vics daughter Camie had a really nice 95 GT with a Saleen kit, cool ghost horse on the hood, and every part you could think of, except the WATER PUMP.

If you guys do find one, let me know. GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BTW - I didn't know Edelbrock owned Russel.

Take a new waterpump and get it ceramic coated! Although it will not shine quite as much as chrome, it will look decent under the hood and will never dull.

I couldn't find anyone to do that with it assembled. Not sure how to disassemble it either. Any clue? Not a bad idea, but I would get it powder coated before ceramic only for the purpose of looks.

Anyone know if you can disassemble a pump? I am sure you can, just how hard is it????

If you change to a Fox Timing cover, does anything else have to be changed with it?

If it's too much work, Ill just get a new one and have it coated when I swap out the engine....just gotta find a place that does that.

LOL...I didnt know you were recommending against it. I thought you were "just saying" it's hard to keep clean, I didnt know you were discouraging it. Ill take your word for it on this issue.

Mine is polished and I did mine mself.. It is a major PITA to get in there to keep it clean. I just broke my motor down tonite and that is the easiest way to really get to it.

I think chrome is the only way to go on the hard to reach places, but something like that will get WAY TOO hot!

I may just go with painted black eventually.
