Hi, my mustang is my only car, hence it is my daily driver. Becasue of this and having to drive in the snow(NJ) I am going to get 4 tires for the ice/snow with my current rims and put them on every winter. Therefore, I would like to get a nice set of rims to have on my tires for the other 9 months or so. Unfortunately I do not have a garage to park in. Will the rain, and other things from sitting outside all the time have a negative effect on the chrome. Also, how often do you have to polish/clean the chrome rims, could I get away with cleaning them once a week? Would i be wasting my money by getting chrome? Thanks for any help/advice you can give me. Very nice site you got here.:SNSign:

Thanks, Paul

Chrome is very easy to keep clean. I simply spray chrome wheel cleaner on, rinse, and dry off.

The only problem I see in your case is you driving the car in snow. The salts on the road wouldnt be good for it all.

I went through 2 sets of chrome wheels before i gave in and bought black...I cleaned them and polished them and they still pitted...its hard in NJ with the salt etc...
I have a set of 18X8.5 chrome wheels that started to pit on me in my garage. They have fairly new Nitto's on them and i'd be willing to sell fairly cheap if you'd like a set of wheels to use for just for the winter.

I must have worded my question wrong. The chrome rims will not be exposed to winter weather. They will be on the car from april to october (so no snow). But will I have a problem keeping them on the car with the rain etc. of summer and the car not being in a garage? Thanks for the replies and any advice you can give me.
