cigarette outlet won't work

My cigeret lighter wont work. IM thinking a fuse is gone so any advice will help thx

no it does work...not for an A/C power cord though

you must use the one near your e-brake to power electric devices


dont ask me why. because i would just be wasting a tech post.

Same thing happen to me when I was playing and cleaning with metal, just fried the fuse . Easy fix, fuse is under driver side dashboard.

Yea, same thing with me...

What is it with the dash mounted lighter socket?

Nothing I plug into it really fits well and I usually have to spin the plug on the device to make good contact.

I've pulled it out and it looks fine?

Wires are clean, contacts have spring to them etc.


I've blown the fuse twice with that outlet and various toys like radar detector, ipod etc.

The one in the armrest console has no such troubles?

Any ideas?

YEA, check you fuses, i have the same problem i cant seem to get the one by the radio to power anything but no problems with the one next to teh e-brake.
