just posted some stuff on cl, i swear i hate it but ive had good luck in the past, but the last time nothing but spam, as a matter of fact im stilling the same spam lol, so i know alot of you have been there so post your past and present experiances as a seller/buyer.

bought a 65 mustang full tube chassis car for $2,500
got into motorcycles and lost intrest in racing, car sat untouched for 2 years, sold it for $5,200

Anything I ve ever put on CL sells in a couple days. Best CL buy..low mile 302 that the guy was selling for 500 - offered him 100 just because he had it for sale for 2 months ( I was following it ) and he accepted. Took the Weiend intake off it and sold it on ebay for 125 the sold his father the 2.3 that I pulled for 50. End result - Free long block that runs awesome and 75 bux.

I LOVE CL...Ive gotten so many deals off of it, not all of them are car related tho. In terms of cars, I got my 87 GT 'vert for $700 but the engine was blown so I got another 5.0 from someone else on CL from a totaled GT for $150, headers and all and then found a third person on CL to swap the old engine in for the new one, for free (in exchange for the blown engine) lol. Hell of a deal, IMO!

ive had two people hit me up one wanting fenders i got posted 50 bux for the pair and he passed cause there no white and today some guy wanted to know how many miles were on the spedo still no luck and what sux is im broke and could use the money at the moment o well im not giving up ill prob just donate parts to stangnet lol

got my stang for $1000 off craigslist. Said it didnt run, so i bought it, replaced the blown ecm fusible link, fixed a couple things and drove it a few weeks later.

I have a good one. Trying to sell a bbk off road h pipe for long tubes. Guy contacts me, we talk, I send pics, agree on price upon inspection.

I drive 20 mins to meet the guy...he brings his whole family in a busted minivan and then tries to guilt trip me into basically giving him the thing for next to nothing because he is unemployed. He even went as far as to say I drove an expensive car and can afford to give it to him for 15 bucks!!!

I was so pissed I just got in car and left.

man id be pissed off also some people expect stuff to be almost free that pisses me off

Oddly enough I've had nearly the exact same thing happen to me.

Posted my old mac off road H pipe for like $100, agreed to sell it to this guy over email for $75 or 80. Drive 20 minutes to meet him, he arrives in a beat to hell '83 mustang and tries to offer me 50 bucks with a straight face. Some people are just unbelievable.
