Almost done porting the E7's that i am putting on my '85.

The valves are kinda gunked up on the backside and i'd like the clean them. It's caked on, so what's the best way to loosen it up and clean the valves?

in case you are wondering, my combo is gonna consist of

Ported E7's with upgraded TFS springs
TFS Stage 1 cam
Performer RPM intake
Demon 625 carb
and of course the usual supporting bolt ons like pullies, LT's, electric fan, etc.

Carb cleaner and Brake cleaner seems to do well. Steel wool, razor blade, Whizz wheel, a steel brush all helps.

the easiest way is to just use a wire wheel on a bench grinder. Works like a charm.
