clear bug bra. help please.

so i decided against getting a civic to take to college and stuff. now that makes me wonder, where can i get one of those professionally installed clear stick on bug bra's. i have a cloth/leather one that i can use for all the highway ill be covering, but i want one of those ones that people have put on. where can i get them installed? im lost.... how much can i expect to pay for one?

use the spray on stuff from duplicolor

does that make it smooth looking like the pro installed ones? do you mask off everything but front end paint?

Its water soluble so its worth a try, if you dont like it wash it off.

It sounds like you're talking about something like the 3M clear bra. It's a pricey proposition but in what I've seen, looks great. I think 3M's site has authorized distributors and installers listed (I once looked into it before deciding I could not afford it).

I remember someone posting about a plastic shell/bra thing that clipped onto the nose....i wanna say it was made by GTO (same people who make black outs for headlights).


I remember a LOT of flaming in that thread, about it looking stupid, and the guy was trying to explain that it was just for highway driving to keep the paint from chipping....it was pretty lame. I'd use one if i had a good paint job.

I'd like to find out more about this also, since i do alot of highway driving now.I'm already seeing alot of stone chips from 4 mths of driving the highway to work.

I have some stuff from 3m, its thick plastic with an adhesive back, and its very hard to put on and very expensive, but you can't see it unless your right up close and it works great. Nothing will mess up your paint with that overtop of it.
