Clear taillights kinda went out of style like blackout headlight covers did. Remember those?

Now it seems the current trend is smoking the lights.

What will be next years trend??

Please don't. Please? LX Tails FTW. Seriously. The ONLY time clear tails look anywhere NEAR acceptable is on white fox's. But even then, please don't.

I'm not sure where you can get them off hand, aside from somewhere like 50Resto, but I'd say get what you want. Let's not turn this into a "clear taillights are rice," or the like. It's their car, their money, their mods, and their own taste.

just get regular Lxs.... muuuch more tasteful IMO...

the smokes ones...maybe, but my opinion is that they would actually hurt the appearance of the car....

not trying to offend, but that rear shot of mustangfans car looks, well, not-so-good...

these look alright on this color..

though he has matching headlights..

I was thinking smoke tails for 81 Hach Job because I don't think the red looks good on the yellow. But I already but stock replacement headlights for the front so...that went out.

Hooray! For me smoked tails on that car would have invalidated the entire project.

Yeah, even though I thought they may look better than the red, my goal was to keep it all stock 87-93 on the outside to have the real sleeper look.

When the car is done it's getting 20% tint all the way around, but you better believe I'll have the windows down while I cruise so people see that dash!!!!

When clear tails came out I thought people had busted tail lights because they dont light up so well.

The only clear tails I seen that look good at night are on my buddies car. If you get expensive LED bulbs then they'll light up good in the dark, it almost looks like a high end car at night, but in the day they still look pink. They have clear reflectors and when I drive behind him it looks like the backup lights are on.

i bet those bulbs would still look very high end and great even during the day if the lenses were red

If the lenses are red they are not as bright. I ran a set of those LED bulbs in my '03's taillights for a few days until a buddy told me that in the daytime you could barely even see me hit the brake lights.

At night it looked awesome though

main reason I want the clears is because the coloration would match really well with the light silver color that my car is...I love lx's but the fact that 90 percent of foxbody stangs have them turns me off...I am not getting euro's..that's not in my taste at all...to me cobra's remind me of my tails just with pinstripping and gt lights remind me of cheese graters...I am not trying to down anyones lights at all....I guess I am wanting someone to talk me out of the clear lights that's all..I really don't like how the clears light up, I wonder if they look stupid even with leds???

Most have seen look pink with red bulbs. The lens should be clear instead of white-fluted plastic like that are. As a result, the lens washes the color out and they do look sort of pink. It makes me think of an albino
