I was about to order some rims for the 95 cobra, If i run 17x9.5 in the front and 17x10.5 in the rear with 315's? Will it fit or will there be clearance issues?
I would advise against going more than 9 inches in the front. 275's are MORE than enough tire to be holding your front end to the pavement, and going any wider will most certainly cause you rubbing issues, especially at full lock.
Most guys on here run 245 to 275's up front, and 315's out back. Nitto's Extreme Drags run narrower than BFG's and Mickey Thompson's DR's so that's possibly why some have experienced no issues with rub out back. If you do intend on going with one of the latter 2, expect to do some small adjustments with quad shocks and inner fender "negotiation" A hammer is a wonderful negotiator, as Chythar pointed out
I actually have more of a rubbing issue with my 15x8 weld pro-stars. My drivers side drag radial is SHOT from getting cut up by the fender lip on the outer edge. I plan on rolling the edge up/in a little to not tear up any further/more and get some new MT DR or streets.
