umm if they didn't know what u were talking abut they should be shot

The 351m was a modified cleveland used in trucks for the most part, less parts available and not as easily upgraded

Cleveland, good engine, good potential but again limited number of parts available.

351 Windsor, most popular, great parts, Daddy to the 5.0 lol, great power and torque potential

I am a fan of clevelands. Some 351 clevelands from the early 70s make stock what 351W with decent aftermarket heads make now. My dads 72 mach 1 with a 351 cleveland, stock 1970 4v closed chamber heads and a mild cam put down 285rwhp through a T5Z and 9" rear end. Not bad for mostly untouched stock parts. 351 modifieds are worthless, the 400 can make big power but most people dont put the time or effort into them.

Meh, there are great heads for 351Ws now so the effort involved in putting cleveland heads is far more than its worth. You also have to change the pistons when you do this. Now adapting fuel injection to a cleveland would be cool. My dad almost did that before he sold his 72.

Modifieds suck

I'd say cleveland stock

but def windsor due to the ability to make insane power, cause of all the aftermarket parts

With all the good windsor heads there is no point, or else you would see it done alot. It was done alot back before there was a big windsor aftermarket.

LAWLZ, I guess chi is about to go out of business since no one is going to buy their 3 valve clev heads for windsors. I should also call blue thunder and others that make a canted valve head for the windsor and tell them no one is running them, they are about to go bankrupt. I should also tell everyone with a dart block with cleveland mains they are an idiot. Its not worth it....

Well I dont talk down on people like Im better than them especially when I have less tech posts. All he had to do was explain the cleveland/windsor thing. I still stand by what I said but with this added. How many people uses these parts on their weekend warriors. Using these cleveland parts on windsors is more of a race engine thing.
