I recently bought a 71 Mach 1 fastback. All the ones I've ever seen, there's a tach on them, but in its place on mine, theres a clock. Does this make it rare or anything or was it just an option from the factory. Also how rare are the rim blow steering wheels?

It's a factory option that's probably a lot more rare than the tach.

By 1971, the rim-blow was getting rare even on the mach1.

It may be rare but it's certainly not desirable.

Depends- If you want to be just like every other Mustang at car shows, change to a tach, and put two big stripes on the car.

Used to see a car at shows around here. 1970 mach1. 351. Windsor. 2V. With shaker ram air. And single exhaust. Car was documented original (Marti). People used to walk away, shaking their heads, "that's just wrong". But they always stopped and looked it over, a real attention-getter.
