So I posted a while back about a rattle of sorts and thought it was a blown strut from what one of the guys said on here, but I left my car at home while I was at school for my dad to change my brake pads and what not and he said that when he was taking the calipers off that one of the calipers was basically about to fall off. Which in turn would have made for a big accident. So a possible blown strut could have been a fatal loose/no caliper whatsoever. Brakes work fine now though.

I had something similar, I was changing a tire and discovered that the two nuts on the lower strut mount (I have coilovers) were about to fall off. That would have been one bad day, and I caught it just in time. They are now loctited down and checked frequently, lol. On my truck awhile back, one of the calipers didn't get tightened down and one bolt came out completely. I pulled over to figure out what the noise was and discovered it. I actually drove down the road and retraced my steps, found the missing bolt in the middle of the road and replaced it :)
