Ever since I have got my car I have never really been happy with the clutch but am starting to single it out lately. I have no clue what is in it but know it is heavy, but has **** all for feel, doesnt kick out at the end. It doesnt slip but it doesnt lock up on hard shifts(2.73's prolly dont help) but what I'm getting at is it isnt anything special.
The problem is off the start sometimes if I slip it a little or let it out too fast it seems to shimmy a bit. Like grab then let go repeatably really fast, it almost feels like the back end hops up and down rapidly. Sometimes it is even unavoidable besides pushing the clutch back in and starting with a little more RPM.
I am starting to think it is something to do with the clutch glazing over now though. I have done it a few times now where if I really slip the clutch hard on purpose, like slow in second let the revs up and keep a little pressure(I know this is VERY bad for clutch life) the problem will go away for a week or so of calm driving. Is it possible it wasn't broken in properly? Regardless I think Ill replace it this winter but any ideas?
