Clutch, a step above the rest?

For a 400-500 HP application, what are people going with. I hear so much beef with spec and so on, and centerforce I just don't know about.

What do you guys go with and what makes you happy to drive it. In a daily driver situation, I'd want it to not have a ROCK solid pedal and wear me out in traffic. But I want it to be able to handle the power when I get on it.

What are your expericances?

Im putting around 320 to the wheels in a 98 gt and i have a king cobra clutch and its more than enough clutch.I have been told that the spec clutches are really good but not for a daily driver car.I also heard your car will shake just leaving a stop light with the spec clutches.I really dont know but thats just what i heard.I have heard some good things about centerforce so you might want to check into that.

there is no King Cobra for the 3650, mid 01 and up. at least i havent seen one yet. this is a good question, as i have heard good, but more bad things about both spec and centerforce.

has anyone tried McLeod? Ive heard some decent things about them, but not enough.

There's also another option, Anderson FM came out with some new clutches (called "hi-rev"). They have different stages for different power levels. I don't know if they're any good, but AFM has a good reputation.

As for me, I have SPEC 3. Its grabs great at the track, but definitely not for stop/go traffic (if most of your driving is highway, you'll be fine).
