the car is completly stock besides a hurst short throw shifter and it seems like i have to push the clutch all the way down for a smooth shift...it doesnt feel like the clutch is engageing untill a lil past 3/4 down just wondering if i can adjust the clutch or not and if so how thanks
do you still have the factory quadrant and cable (check to make sure you never know what a previous owner may have installed) if so do as i did get an aluminum quadrant cable and firewall adjuster.then install..problem fixed....but in the meantime if you have factory equipment reach down while in the driver seat and pull up on the clutch pedal then push clutch in with your foot this will adjust the factory clutch, you should hear a click if working properly when you push clutch thats if the factory cable is not streched or plastic quadrant is not stripped... repost results
I've got a clutch question since we're on the subject. When I'm trying to shift theres some sort of snag when it goes into gear. It's not a smooth shift, but it used to be smooth a few months ago.
It's not the original clutch, the guy before me put it in but I'm not sure what kind.
Is the snag while shifting something like clutch wear or needing to change the tranny fluid? Any thoughts?
