Curious what are you guys out there using?

my clutch is fine now but i figure w/ next race season for us in Oct and w/ my new 4:10's and such the clutch might take a dump someday not sure how long it will last who knows maybe a long time.

But was wondering what clutches and flywheels you guys are using and also if any idea how much labor could possible be for installing a clutch and flywheel?

The set up I'm running is absolutely great. Centerforce aluminum flywheel, DFX clutch package, McLeod billet slave/brg, and MGW shifter. The Fidanza flywheel is about half the cost of the Centerforce and also works well. You really should consider an upgrade in the slave/brg due to the increased pressure on the stock slave with aftermarket clutch packages. It's about a three-four hour job for the install, so plan on paying $300-$500 for an honest shop's labor.

The parts are expensive too. Flywheel (aluminum) $300-$600, clutch package $350, aftermarket slave/brg $350- $500 depending on which you go with...Ram or McLeod.

If you are under 400rwhp I recommend Centerforce dual friction...DFX for over 400rwhp.

I'm a big believer in center force clutches, I've used them for years in off road applications, there just plain awesome for holding power and wear.

Thats very hard to predict, one good holeshot can smoke the clutch, or it could last for 100 passes. With all things being =, as long as your not slipping it a lot, it should last a while. Having the 4:10's will ease up on the clutch when you launch compared to the 3:31.

That's right. The 4.10's will make backing the car up slowly much easier too.

What do you guys think of Spec Stage 1 Clutch Kit and Spec Stage 2 clutch kits?

And/or steeda clutches?

Where did you guys buy your centerforce clutches from? does the kit include pressure plate?

I get my stuff from JPC Racing. 1-866-JPC-RACE. They will match any price you see around. Justin Burcham knows his stangs.
