clutch / brake pedal??

i have a 67 coupe with a t5 in it i had a shop install a modern driveline clutch cable conversion for me now the pedals seem loose i guess i can feel the clutch pedal move if im braking the shop tells me this just how it is with this kit? has anyone had this problem before?i wont be taking the car back to that shop no matter what

The pedals mount to a shaft (both brake and clutch). The mating is a bushing and it wears. Your new clutch has a long arm and new mounting point and this accentuates the feel of sloppiness dur to the worn bushing. The solution is to rollerize these joints. Go here:

Spot on answer! It's kind of a pain to get the shaft completely out, but roller bushings work great. After my T5z conversion, I had my bushings rollerized and welded (one of the holes in the pedal support was worn oval, so the shaft had play even with the roller bushings) and noticed a huge difference in feel and confidence.
