I have a '95 mustang GT with a TKOII installed in it. I also have mac long-tube headers. Because of how close the bellhousing is to the driver side header, the exhaust heat fatigues the plastic end of the cable, as well as constricts the metal coil around the cable itself. This results in an extremely stiff feel from the clutch pedal when it is depressed. Upon snapping my first steeda cable, I replaced it with every imaginable aftermarket or OEM cable. Finally, steeda came out with a cable specifically for SN-95 cars with a TKO swap. After installing this cable and wrapping it and the exhaust, with exhaust heat wrap, I have finally cured the problem. Check out the picture of one steeda cable I had.
