Clutch Cable install

thanks darkwriter for your help. i just guessed and i did actually what you said above. got it right the first go around and im satifised. i only installed the adjustable cable for now due to time contraints. im going to take your (and others) advice and invest in the non-adjustable and then just the firewall adjuster eventually.

hate to bump this clutch post but i gotta

allrighty then well befor coming on here and reading what i should buy for a clutch cable...because mine snap'd i sign'd onto jegs and bought a jegs adjustable clutch cable...quadrant and fwa, but im having problems adjusting it....i fire up the car...and it shifts into first nice and sweet with no real peddle effort...then say like im getin on it a lil bit. and i wanna shift into second...it kinda grinds a lil bit....but third gear grinds real bad....cable snap'd on me in town and i had to jam gears to get it home...im just wondering if maybe i messed my syncro's up or if i should take the cable off my 87 parts car. and put on here....with the jegs quadrant and fwa. plus i allso have a ford motor sports quad that i took off and put the jegs one on...the clutch engages close to the floor so im thinking maybe i should adjust it more??
