i just got my clutch cable replaced about 3 or 4 months ago...and i feel like its going bad already.....what are reasons for a cable to wear out soo fast?....the clutch doesnt feel smooth and i have to practically put my foot through the floor to shift.

Is everything stock? How new or old is the clutch?

The clutch could be going bad. I have had two bad clutches in cars that didn't slip, they jsut didn't disengage all the way, causing what seemed like transmission problems. The pressure plate can wear out two along with the trowout bearing. I would buy a kit and replace it all and turn the flywheel.

well the stock clutch is about 10 months old and the cable is about 3 to 4 months old as said in the previous post...this is my dd so it sees about 30 miles a day plus extra on weekends and a lot of traffic.....what i am really trying to find out is if the mechanic is not doing his job or if its me.....thats why the question "what are reasons for a cable to wear out fast?".....thanx in advance

The cable shouldn't wear out that fast - no friggin way. Take it back...
The only thing I can think of that can wear it out quickly is IMPROPER INSTALLATION. With that I mean having the cable not properly line up with the quad. This is typically only an issue with aftermarket quads.
There is another possible scenario - rust...but I trust you haven't been swimming lately.
Is this a FORD clutch cable? If not, get one...while some have no issue with aftermarket cables, MANY folks have had issue...including me!
