Clutch Cable

Hey I recently installed a UPR adjustable clutch cable, quadrant, and firewall adjuster. Not even a month in, the cable is breaking, so I have come to the conclusion to use the Ford cable but my question is I can still use the UPR quadrant and firewall adjusters with no problems right. Thanks for clearing this up.

Yes. Chances are that the UPR cable is double adjustable....right? At the end and at the firewall. You should be able to use a stock non adjustable cable with the firewall adjuster just fine.

You'll be fine with a stocker. Depending on which pickup you use on the quadrant, you may want to smooth the cable groove behind the pickups with a round file or fine grit sand paper, and take the corner/edge off. The UPR quadrant, like almost all aftermarket ones, changes the ramp profile and on the middle or far pickups it can cause the cable to bend too much. Not a big deal with an OEM quality cable, but smoothing it out can't hurt.
